Are you involved in making low-budget or no-budget films? Do you have a film that you’d like a review for? If so, contact me – as long as your budget is small I’m willing to watch and review your film. Genre and length do not matter; I review features as well as shorts, and any genre will be accepted. I’m trying to do at least a review per week, so if you send me your movie it will be added to the list and reviewed in the order it was received (with the exception of movies that have distribution, if you send me the movie before the street date I’ll do my best to get a review up for you before it’s released). I can’t give any guarantees that I will like your film, but I can guarantee that I will watch it and give you my honest opinion. Once your review has been posted, you are more than welcome to link to it on whatever internet presence you have, and quote it for your press material, DVD box text, or any other appropriate use you have for it. Just a caveat: I used to review just about everything that was sent my way. I got so bogged down that I quit for over a year. I am not going to do that again. If you contact me, I may or may not review your project, I am not going to commit to review EVERYTHING sent my way. But I will be glad to check it out, so if you want a review let me know and I’ll tell you if I can or not (this goes for ALL CATEGORIES).
If you are interested in sending me your film, send an email to ryan@sb-films.com subject: review my movie. Tell me a little bit about your self, your relation to the film, and some info about the film you’re submitting. I’d rather hear more about where/when/why the film was made than a plot summary, but if you want to give me a little bit about the story that’s ok too. However, if you are submitting a feature, please be ready to send me a screener; I don’t mind online screeners for shorts, but I really prefer not to screen feature length films online!
I also write reviews for independent music. Basically the same info applies as above for movies – I don’t care about genre (though, to be fair musicians, I’m not much of a fan of Country, so unless your country CD is just the best thing ever made, I probably won’t like it!), as long as your music is a independent release, I’d be happy to check it out! Please keep in mind I am only one person, so I will review your media as soon as I can, but until this becomes a lucrative gig (ha!) I will still have my day job to attend to! If you are interested in submitting your music or book, send an email to ryan@sb-films.com subject: review my music.
I also write reviews of craft beer, so if you are at a independent brewery or brewpub, contact me and I would be glad to write you up a review of your brews!
To help you get an idea of the type of things I like (so you might get an idea if I will enjoy your submission), here is an A-Z of directors I dig and musicians/bands I dig (these lists are not all inclusive, and they do not include works I’ve reviewed). As far as beers go, I really enjoy most styles, I’m not a fan of lagers in general (though there are some that surprise me), and I don’t really care for pilsners in particular. I love IPAs, Barleywines, Old Ales, Sours, Stouts, and big beers in general.

looking for a producer for my book to film called I AM RONIN CONMAN CARDSHARK AND SERIAL KILLER
This is the semi-fictional story of an innocent, good man who goes to jail for a crime he didn’t commit. He then comes out a changed man; a real criminal much worse then what the courts ever thought he was. He joins a crew from contacts he made in jail who make their living robbing drug dealers. All the while he plots and partakes his revenge on all the people responsible for his incarceration. The prosecutor, judge, public defender and the witnesses must all pay the ultimate price. His crime spree is full of action, sex, con games and gambling from Middletown to New York City, from Philadelphia to Atlantic City. The characters are colorful and realistic all modeled after the real people the author met in jail on his own little vacation. If you have ever dreamed of getting revenge on the incompetent court system of this country this novel will captivate you.
I would like to hear more.
